Pusser’s Rum Gunpowder Proof 5cl Miniature | Navy Rum Miniature Bottle

Pusser’s Rum Gunpowder Proof is now available in a 5cl miniature bottle – the perfect format for trying one of the world’s most celebrated navy rums before committing to a full bottle, or for using as a genuinely original gift or favour. Bottled at a thunderous 54.5% ABV – original Admiralty strength, the proof at which the Royal Navy’s rum ration was once issued — this is not a novelty miniature but a full-strength expression of the authentic Pusser’s blend in its most portable format. Buy Pusser’s Rum Gunpowder Proof miniatures at Fareham Wine Cellar, in-store or online, and discover why Forbes Magazine once called Pusser’s the “Single Malt of Rum.”

What Are Rum Miniatures Good For?

The 5cl rum miniature is one of the most versatile formats in the spirits category – small enough to fit in a pocket or Christmas stocking, substantial enough to make a genuine impression. Here are the uses our customers find most valuable:

• Stocking fillers – a 5cl miniature of Pusser’s Gunpowder Proof is a genuinely interesting, premium stocking filler for rum lovers, Royal Navy veterans, and anyone with an interest in naval history
• Wedding favours – miniature rum bottles make elegant, personalised wedding favours, particularly for maritime-themed celebrations or events in the Portsmouth and Hampshire area
• Hamper inclusions – a Pusser’s miniature alongside chocolates, a cigar, or a selection of other spirits makes a compact and impressive gift hamper addition
• Try before you buy – the most practical use of all: a 5cl miniature allows you to sample Gunpowder Proof at full strength before investing in a full-sized 70cl bottle
• Cocktail ingredient – a single 5cl miniature is the precise measure for a Pusser’s Painkiller: combine with pineapple juice, orange juice, cream of coconut, and a grating of fresh nutmeg over ice
• Cake decorations – miniature spirit bottles make striking toppers for celebration cakes, particularly rum cakes or pirate-themed party bakes
• Royal Naval Associations (RNA) – Many Royal Navy Associations use rum miniatures for prizes, table gifts for guests or AGMs, especially for Trafalgar Night or Pickle Night celebrations.

About Pusser’s Rum – The Original Navy Rum

Named after the Royal Navy’s purser – the officer tasked with issuing the daily rum “tot” until Black Tot Day in 1970– Pusser’s Rum was revived in 1979 using the Admiralty’s original secret blending recipe, with every sale supporting the Royal Navy Sailor’s Fund.

Bottled at original Admiralty strength (54.5% ABV), Pusser’s Gunpowder Proof gets its legendary name from the historic test of igniting rum-soaked gunpowder. Distilled by Demerara Distillers in Guyana using the iconic Port Mourant double wooden pot still, this rich blend delivers an extraordinarily deep, wooden-aged character that is truly one of a kind.
